William Hill become one of the first European gaming businesses to be awarded a full gaming license in Nevada USA by the Nevada Gaming Commission.

William Hill purchased assets in 2008 in online software company Playtech, which enabled them to create William Hill Online. While William Hill also launched the Sportsbook app with Orbis.

The company is a subsidiary of the William Hill PLC group of companies that has over 8,000 employees worldwide. They are regulated by the Gambling Commission whose role is to oversee the entire operation to ensure fairness in their games and betting.
